Department of Mechanical Engineering

About the Department

The AI&DS department offers an interdisciplinary program designed for the data-driven era of 2026. The curriculum provides a bridge between raw data and actionable wisdom by integrating high-level mathematics, advanced programming, and cognitive computing. Students focus on building autonomous systems, predictive models, and "Agentic AI"—systems capable of autonomously planning and executing complex tasks. Key areas of study include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Edge AI.

Mechanical Engineering stands as one of the oldest and most versatile disciplines of engineering. Whether it’s designing futuristic vehicles, improving energy systems, or developing robotic automation, the scope of mechanical engineering touches nearly every industry imaginable. With increasing industrialization, the scope of mechanical engineering in India and abroad continues to flourish, paving the way for endless possibilities.

The scope of mechanical engineering in India is vast, driven by sectors like automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and energy. With the government’s focus on Make in India, clean energy, and smart infrastructure, the future scope of mechanical engineering is expected to grow significantly.
